ESTABLISHED IN 1986, THE WESTMORELAND COUNTY COUMMUNITY COLLEGE (WCCC) EDUCATION FOUNDATION, INC. IS DEDICATED TO THE MISSION, VISION & VALUES OF WESTMORELAND THROUGH COMMUNITY AWARENESS, ADVOCACY & FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR OUR COLLEGE AND THE COMMUNITY WE SERVE. TO BROADEN & EXTEND THE EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR STUDENTS BY AWARDING SCHOLARSHIPS & GRANTS. WCCC EDUCATION FOUNDATION INC., ASSISTS WCCC & THE ADVANCEMENT OF PUBLIC HIGHER EDUC. BY BROADENING THE BASE OF SUPPORT, CREATING AWARENESS & KNOWLEDGE OF WCCC & STRONGLY EMPHASIZING COMMUNICATIONS WITH THE PRIVATE DONORS & PUBLIC AGENCIES. THE FOUNDATION UTILIZES "FRIEND RAISING," A WAY TO ESTABLISH SUSTAINABLE RELATIONSHIPS WITH PERSONS, FOUNDATIONS & CORPORATIONS TO CREATE A WIDE VARIETY OF SUPPORT FOR WCCC. THROUGH FRIEND RAISING, ADVOCACY & FUNDRAISING EFFORTS, THE FOUNDATION SUSTAINS THE COLLEGE WITH FINANCIAL & PERSONAL CONTRIBUTIONS FOR EDUC. PROGRAMS FOR STUDENTS DEVELOPED BY THE WCCC & APPROVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES.
