THE FOUNDATION WAS ESTABLISHED TO MANAGE PERMANENTLY RESTRICTED ENDOWMENT CONTRIBUTIONS (I.E., CONTRIBUTIONS INTENDED BY THEIR DONORS TO BENEFIT THE WEST VIRGINIA SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA, INC. IN PERPETUITY) THEREBY PROVIDING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO THE WEST VIRGINIA SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA, INC. THROUGH ANNUAL DISTRIBUTION BASED ON A PERCENTAGE OF THE NET FAIR MARKET VALUE OF THE FOUNDATIONS TOTAL ENDOWMENT.
